Actress Brie Larson recently claimed that she never considers a movie just a project or a simple job rather feels that its her duty to present her thoughts too. She calls her movies her “own form of activism” and makes a point via them.
This 27-year-old actress finds great pleasure to see the response to the character of Mason Weaver in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ played by her. She herself found the plot quite intriguing and the approach to showcase the problems faced by professional journalists and how they end up putting their lives into danger for no personal reason.
To quote Larson, “I make movies as a form of activism. I believe we learn from what we see in our leaders. I’m proud to play Mason Weaver in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ because she represents the many journalists who risk their lives everyday to share with us the truth, ” and her posts from instagram reads, “Weaver leads with compassion and believes that unity cannot be obtained through aggression. I’m excited to share this film with you. And in the meanwhile I’m thrilled to have this platform as a way to connect us. Let’s work together. Lets be open to learning from each other,”
